Nexus Gaming is the responsible party for personal information processed through this website and client portal. Privacy and information-access requests may be sent to the Nexus Gaming Information Officer at [email protected] or submitted as a support ticket from the client portal.
2. Information We Process
We may process your name, account and contact details, service address, country, login and security records, support communications, server orders and configuration choices, invoice and payment references, affiliate attribution, and technical records needed to operate and protect the service. Nexus Gaming does not store your complete bank-card details.
3. Why We Process Information
Information is used to register and authenticate accounts; provide, bill, renew, support and cancel hosting services; provision and secure game servers; communicate service and payment information; prevent fraud and abuse; operate the affiliate programme; maintain financial and audit records; and comply with applicable law.
4. Legal Grounds and Choice
Processing is based on performing or preparing a service contract, complying with legal duties, protecting legitimate business and security interests, and consent where consent is legally required. Required registration and billing information must be supplied for Nexus Gaming to provide a paid hosting service. Optional marketing communication may be declined without affecting an existing rental.
5. Cookies and Anonymous Funnel Measurement
The portal uses essential session and security cookies. Nexus Gaming also records short-lived anonymous operational events to understand whether visitors reach registration, checkout and provisioning successfully. These events use a random browser-session identifier and do not store names, email addresses, IP addresses, passwords, card details or PayFast subscription tokens.
6. Service Providers and Recipients
Information may be shared only as needed with providers supporting payment processing, network and security delivery, email, support notifications, domain-name services, hosting infrastructure and professional compliance. Current service integrations may include PayFast, Cloudflare, email delivery providers and Discord for staff notifications. Each provider processes information under its own responsibilities and applicable agreements.
7. Cross-Border Processing
Some service providers may process limited information outside South Africa. Nexus Gaming will use providers and safeguards reasonably intended to maintain protection appropriate to the information and applicable law.
8. Retention
Account, payment and service records are retained only while needed to supply services, resolve disputes, maintain security and meet accounting or legal duties. Anonymous funnel events are retained for up to 90 days. Security and support records are periodically reviewed and removed or restricted when no longer reasonably required. Backups may retain deleted records for a limited rotation period before replacement.
9. Security
Nexus Gaming uses access controls, staff multi-factor authentication, encryption for protected credentials, network filtering, rate limits, logging, backups and restricted administrative access. No internet service can guarantee absolute security, but safeguards are reviewed and improved as risks change.
10. Your Rights
Subject to POPIA and other applicable law, you may ask whether Nexus Gaming holds your personal information, request access or correction, object to certain processing, withdraw consent where processing depends on consent, or request deletion where retention is no longer lawful or required. We may need to verify identity before completing a request.
11. Security Compromises
If a security compromise involving personal information creates a notification duty, Nexus Gaming will investigate, contain and document the incident and notify affected people and the Information Regulator as soon as reasonably possible in accordance with applicable law.
