Safe Game Server Backups and Restores

Before changing files or mods

Create a fresh backup before updating mods, replacing configuration files, changing a world or performing a major game update.

Wait for the backup to finish and confirm it appears in the backup list before continuing.

Restore carefully

Stop the game application before restoring unless the panel specifically reports that an online restore is supported. Select the correct dated backup, restore it and then start the application.

A restore replaces current server data with the retained copy. Download important worlds separately before experimenting with destructive changes.

Test the result

Confirm the application reaches Running, join the server and verify the expected world and player data. Contact support immediately if a restore fails; avoid repeated restore attempts until the backup health has been checked.
