Troubleshooting a Failed-to-Join Error

Check the simple causes first

Confirm the server application is Running, the connection address includes the correct port, and the password does not contain an accidental space.

Restart the game client and confirm it is fully updated. If the server has just started, wait a few minutes for public listing services to refresh.

Identify the error type

A timeout usually points to reachability, routing or firewall trouble. A version mismatch points to game or mod versions. An authentication or password message points to credentials or platform login.

Capture the exact error text and the time it occurred. This lets support compare the attempt with server and network logs.

Avoid risky fixes

Do not repeatedly reinstall the server or delete world files. Open a support ticket from the client panel and include the server name, game, error and whether direct connection or the public list was used.
